We have been blown away by the interest in leadership opportunities for Fort Wayne Tech.

Commitment & Participation

Regular Attendance: Board members are expected to attend all scheduled board meetings, typically held 12 times a year.

Active Participation: Members should actively engage in discussions, bring forth ideas, and contribute to decision-making processes.

Financial Stewardship

Budget Oversight: Approve the annual budget and ensure financial resources are managed effectively.

Fundraising: Participate in fundraising efforts and leverage personal and professional networks to support the organization financially.

Financial Reporting: Review financial statements and ensure transparency and accountability in all financial matters.

Advocacy & Promotion

Community Representation: Act as ambassadors for Fort Wayne Tech in the community.

Networking: Utilize personal and professional networks to promote the organization and its initiatives.

Public Relations: Engage with stakeholders, including community members, partners, and donors, to foster positive relationships.

Mentorship & Support

Guidance: Provide guidance and support to the executive director and other senior staff.

Mentorship: Serve as mentors to emerging leaders within the organization.

Strategic Oversight
Mission Alignment: Ensure that all activities and decisions align with the mission and vision of Fort Wayne Tech.
Goal Setting: Participate in setting strategic goals and objectives for the organization.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly review the organization's progress towards achieving its goals and objectives.

Governance & Compliance

Policy Development: Develop and approve policies that guide the organization's operations.

Legal Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations.

Risk Management: Identify and manage risks to the organization.

Diverse Skills: Bring a diverse range of skills, including but not limited to, finance, marketing, technology, legal, and nonprofit management.
